Quick answer
A tide curve is a graph showing how water height changes over the course of a day. Tidewell draws yours live and animated for your chosen station, so you can see at a glance exactly where the water level sits right now, and how fast it’s rising or falling.
More than a table of times
A list of high/low times tells you the turning points, but not what’s happening in between. The tide curve fills in the whole picture — a smooth line showing the water level continuously rising toward high tide, then falling toward low tide.
Live and animated
Tidewell’s curve updates in real time to your current position on the cycle, so you can quickly judge things like “is the tide coming in or going out right now” and “how long until it turns” without doing the maths yourself.
Built from the same predictions
The curve is generated from the same offline harmonic tide predictions as the high/low times shown elsewhere in the app — it’s simply the continuous view of the same estimate, not a separate live feed.
