Does Tidewell work offline?

Yes. Tidewell works completely offline — every tide prediction is calculated and stored on your device, so you get full tide times and the live tide curve with no signal at all, including in airplane mode.
Nothing to download on the day
Tidewell calculates tide predictions locally using tidal-constituent data already stored on your device. There’s no live data pull required to see today’s or next week’s tides — it all works the moment you open the app, anywhere.
Built for the coast, not the coffee shop
Coastal signal is often patchy — cliffs, harbours and beaches are exactly where phones lose bars. Tidewell was designed offline-first from day one so that’s never a problem.
What still needs a connection
Only two things ever touch the network: the initial App Store download/update, and verifying a one-time Pro purchase. Day-to-day use — tide times, the live curve, favourites, alarms and widgets — needs nothing.
